Castillo Báez presents credentials to President Trump as Dominican ambassador to the U.S.

Washington, D. C.- María Isabel Castillo Báez, the newly appointed Dominican ambassador to the United States, officially presented her credentials to President Donald J. Trump during a formal ceremony at the White House’s Oval Office, marking the start of her diplomatic mission in Washington.

With this presentation, Castillo Báez is now formally authorized to represent the Dominican Republic in the U.S., in accordance with international diplomatic norms. Her appointment was previously announced by the Dominican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and confirmed for April 9, 2025.

In public remarks, the ambassador expressed her dedication to strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of trade, security, and migration.
